The Bingham Family Blog

October 6, 2009

Where does the time go? It's been 8 days shy of a year and I'm just NOW updating this blog. Well, perhaps I'm just not that into blogging? Or I have better things to do. If you see a grammatical error or spelling snafu - email me.......I'd love to hear from the English Nazi anytime!

Porter started kindergarten last month and loves it. He is the first one to be picked up on the bus and the last one to be dropped off. We live at the very edge of the school boundary. He doesn't mind at all.

Maisey also started pre-school. It's pre-pre-school as she is only 3. She also loves the change of pace and likes to feel big like her big brother. She's still trouble though. But who can resist her aqua blue eyes and ample blonde curls?

Genesis: It begins.
It seems like blogs are all the rage these days, so I thought I would create one of my own. It'll be a work in progress but I hope to keep it going so that people that we once knew from Utah can track our progress and events as they happen in Washington.

I'll have to break out my HTML book in order to make this into a presentable format but it shouldn't be that hard. No, my blog won't have fancy music playing in the background, but I can add pictures and video as I see fit. I'll fix the background into something more appealing and pleasing on the eye too.

Quick summary to close things up for the day - things are good. It's the middle of October and we're living in the Pacific Northwest. Life is good. Kate and I are doing well. After living in Port Orchard for over six months, we're starting to call it home. We had a great summer and completely enjoyed the cool days that come with living very close to the ocean. Our house is about 4 miles from the Puget Sound. If the conditions are just right, we can hear the 7:00 ferry boat blow it's horn as it pulls away from the dock.

We're gearing up for a mild, wet winter. From what people tell us, it'll be grey and cloudy until May. We'll see. As I tell everyone in Utah - "You don't have to shovel rain".

Here is a recent family picture we took for Porter's pre-school:

Yeah, it's clickable to see one that's a little bigger. I'm sure you're all surprised that I'm not into web development.

Well, this is what I can do when I am on the road and don't have two crazy kids to battle with. I'll keep this going and see who will be the first to let me know that they've seen it; without me having to let them know it's on my website. Yeah, I plan on updating that too. I'm just not into the Jeep thing anymore. I need to revamp!
